In short
Pond is private by default. Your profile is visible only to other members of your club. Your presence (in the building, nearby, in the city) is never broadcast publicly. We don't sell your data. Ever.
What we collect
- Account: email, name, the club you belong to.
- Profile: bio, hobby, professional interests, group tags — what you choose to share.
- Activity: RSVPs, presence state, matches, messages with other members.
- Technical: minimal logs to keep the service running and secure.
Why we use it
- To match you with three members worth meeting at each event.
- To show your club's directory to other members.
- To let you and your club admin manage attendance and access.
- To keep the service safe (audit logs of admin actions).
Who sees what
Other members of your club see your profile. Your club admin sees membership and event data for their club. We see what we need to operate the service. No one else.
Your rights (GDPR)
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data from inside the app under Settings → Privacy. Or write to privacy@pond-network.com and we'll handle it within 30 days.
Where data lives
Data is stored on EU infrastructure provided by our cloud partners. We use standard contractual clauses where any transfer outside the EU is needed.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where law requires us to keep records longer.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies strictly to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. No advertising trackers.
